Meet the Owner

Hi! My name is Michelle Morosin, owner of Aurora Designs. I am so happy you are here. Let me introduce myself...

I am currently a fourth year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA, studying Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate. I transferred into Cal Poly Fall of 2020 from Cuesta College, after obtaining my associates degree all while traveling to Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand during my winter breaks! 

I grew up in Hong Kong for the first 10 years in my life. My father was raised on the central coast, until he moved to Hong Kong for business, where he also met my mother. Needless to say, my dad missed the central coast and moved the whole family to Los Osos when I was in 6th grade!

How did I start making jewelry... this is a question I get asked quite frequently and I never know how to answer! I've always been hands on, whether it was feeding horses and goats on my family ranch, or building myself a work bench. I just love the feeling of doing and creating!

I started making jewelry July 2020, with my two friends, Lily, and Kailah. It was an amazing experience, by the end of the year, I wanted to have something I could call mine. Thus, I started Aurora Designs.
